In 1974, Bannerghatta (in Karnataka, India) was declared a National Park. In 2002, part of the park was declared a Biological Park (I sense you wondering about the difference, and I urge you to move on). In early 2017, I visited the park. Squashed in a smelly bird hide for hours, impersonating a statue and muscles screaming in protest, I practiced some wildlife photography with the pros. I lost a pair of shoes to shrapnel rain and whiplash winds. Luckily my preparations sufficient clothes and shoes to accommodate whatever weather nature might suffer from. The one thing I learned that weekend was that camera lenses can be effectively used in weight training.
